Anatolia, which acts as a bridge between Western and Eastern culture today, is one of the starting points of world civilization and the Turks were kneaded in this culture.

The most important feature of the Turks, whose majority of the population is of the Islamic faith, is their hospitality.

It is a tradition to offer tea, coffee, ayran or a drink at the first meeting. The offer should not be turned down. Turks like to have fun by playing folk dances accompanied by local music when they go to a restaurant.

The person who invites the meal at the restaurant pays the full bill. In the restaurant, about 10 percent of the bill is given as a tip. In the taxi, the fare written by the taximeter is valid and the driver is not tipped.

Turks try to help a foreigner even if they don't know the language. There is no bargaining in restaurants, entertainment centers, bazaars, markets and shopping centers; 23 April, 1 May, 19 May, 29 October, 30 August are national holidays; January 1 is a public holiday.

Official institutions, except museums, are closed on religious and national holidays. Museums are only closed until noon on the first day of religious holidays.

It is recommended that you get information about the opening and closing hours of the museums, as there are different hours in summer and winter months.
