The 52 cm tall bronze Heracles statue, which is exhibited alone in a special hall in Alanya Museum, is a II. century work. Some researchers argue that the statue was brought to Alanya as a trophy by pirates in the Mediterranean in ancient times. In the history of world sculpture art, the bronze statue of Heracles has a very different and special place among the standing figures. The musculoskeletal structure reflected in bronze is considered unique; In the statue, Heracles has the mace in his right hand and the skin of the lion he killed in his left hand. The empty eye sockets are thought to have been adorned with precious stones. Heracles is the symbol of power and strength in mythology and has 12 tasks to complete. Heracles accomplishes all of these tasks thanks to his power. He was a popular hero in the mountains around Alanya in ancient times. The happy tiredness of the post-victory can be seen from the expression on the statue's face.
